Social District campsite is located on the shores of the south end of Lake Windermere in Cumbria, based in the national park. We are surrounded by beautiful hikes & fells such as High Dam & Gummers How with amazing views across Lake Windermere. We are a small & exclusive back to nature campsite spread across 50 acres with charming woodland trials & 500 yards of lake frontage to add to the gorgeous views & make for unforgettable sunsets, perfect for all the family as well as pets so don’t worry about leaving the furry member of the family behind as we are a dog friendly site.Our facilities include a very spacious pitch, flushing toilets and warm showers, a pot washing area, campfires, fresh water points, direct access to Lake Windermere and we also sell fire wood on site.Our focus is to provide you and your family with a remarkable getaway to an exclusive destination as we create a relaxing environment that suits spending quality time with your loved ones.

- 15 minute walk to the Lakeside Hotel where you can catch the Lake Windermere Ferry down to Bowness and Ambleside. Both Bowness (middle of Lake Windermere) and Ambleside (North Windermere) are beautiful little villages that has lots of places to eat, shops, parks and activities such as boat hires and tours. The ideal start to a day of exploring.
